A shining success for Arian Alloussi: bronze at the German Individual Championship – and qualification for the Youth World Championship!
What a tournament! At this year’s German Youth Individual Championship in Willingen, Arian Alloussi attracted great attention: with an outstanding performance, he achieved 3rd place—tied on points with the German champion. Only tie-breaks (Buchholz) decided the final ranking in an extremely narrow finish, placing Arian in third place with the bronze medal.
Even though the title was ultimately missed by a very small margin, this result marks a milestone in Arian’s still young chess career. Competing against strong opponents from all over Germany, he played boldly, precisely, and with remarkable determination. Particularly noteworthy were his tactical maturity and his sense for dynamic positional understanding, with which he unsettled even experienced opponents.
The reward for this exceptional performance: Arian has qualified for the 2025 World Youth Championship in Almaty, Kazakhstan! There, he will represent Germany on the international stage—a major step and a well-deserved reward for his dedication and passion for the game.
Special thanks go to Dr. Theiss Naturwaren, who have played a key role in supporting Arian’s development as a sponsor. Through their generous support, not only has professional training been made possible, but also participation in important tournaments through the coverage of travel and accommodation costs. Without this commitment, such a sporting rise would hardly have been possible.
We warmly congratulate Arian on this great success and wish him every success and inspiring games in Almaty. The chess world will be eager to see how this exceptional talent continues to develop!
